The consulate in Bali incurred the least expenses with only `20 lakh spent in a year. P7 NETWORK D-CODED New Delhi: The ‘A’ of terror lexicon Abdul Karim ‘Tunda’, who revealed blueprints of underworld-terror nexus to interrogators, has said that most wanted terrorist and mafia don Dawood Ibrahim is funding all Lashkar-e-Toiba terror strikes on Indian soil and still lives in Karachi under ISI protection. A key figure of the LeT, Tunda was nabbed on Friday and remanded in three-day police custody. A senior official called Tunda a “walking encyclopaedia on LeT’s pan-India operations”. He said Tunda was in regular touch with Dawood, LeT ringleader Hafiz Saeed, members of other terror outfits and top ISI functionaries. This is another instance that goes contrary to the claims of Pakistan’s special envoy Shahryar Khan, who recently said Dawood was chased out of the country and could be living Tunda was in close touch with Dawood, Saeed, other terror outfits, top ISI men Reveals Dawood is guarded by ISI and moves around under its cover Acted as ISI recruiter, despatched terrorists, fake Indian currency and explosives through his well-established network in Nepal, Bangladesh Claims ISI uses Dawood’s network for logistics, transportation to carry out terror activities in India SAYS DAWOOD HELPING ISI STRENGTHEN OTHER TERROR GROUPS LIKE TeT AND JeM Worked with other anti-India groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Tehreek-e-Taliban (TeT), Huji and IM in the United Arab Emirates. “Tunda said he met Dawood several times in Karachi and was in regular touch with the don, who is staying at an ISI safe house in the port city. Tunda claimed Dawood is guarded by ISI and moves around under its cover. He also admitted close ties with Hafiz Saeed and LeT military commander Zaki-ur-Rahman Lakhvi,” an official said. Sources said Tunda was run- ning a network of extremist madrasas in Pakistan, which provide and train recruits for India-specific terror operations. He was also working closely with other terrorist groups sheltered by Pakistan, including Jaish-e-Mohammed, Tehreek-e-Taliban, Babbar Khalsa, Indian Mujahideen and HuJI. “He used to meet all terror ringleaders, but madrasa funding mainly came from Hafiz Saeed and Dawood Ibrahim. Tunda also acted as a recruiter for ISI and used to despatch terror operatives, fake Indian currency notes and explosives to India through his wellestablished network in Bangladesh and Nepal,” a source said. During his interrogation, Tunda said ISI has been using Dawood’s network for logistics and transportation to carry out terror activities in India. With deep penetration in Karachi, Dawood is said to be helping ISI strengthen other terror outfits like Tehreek-e-Taliban and JeM. Sources said Tunda was a big catch for the ISI in 1980s, which opened a new chapter in crossborder terrorism. He was lionised by the ISI and LeT but soon after he fled Bangladesh in 2000, they termed him a spent force. Tunda, who orchestrated over 40 attacks in India, claimed he was kept out of LeT’s ‘bleed India’ strategy as Lakhvi was taking decisions with Saeed.
