The 67-year-old superstar, who has a large fan following, said he would take recourse in technology besides assistance from experts and technocrats in delivering governance. In his over-30-minute speech, which gave an insight into his political ideology and priorities of his yet-to-be launched party, Rajinikanth acknowledged he was “not MGR” and “If someone says he will be MGR, he will only be crazy .” He also said that he would follow spiritual governance. STAR-turned-politician Upendra is likely to be ousted from his own party due to difference of opinion in the party . Upendra who had launched ‘Prajaakiya’ emerged as the most identifiable face of the Karnataka Pragnyavanta Janata Paksha (KPJP). Though Upendra had launched the party under the KPJP banner in October 2017, it was registered in the name of Mahesh Gowda, party chief general secretary . Differences in the fledgling political party were exposed on Monday, after Mahesh Gowda accused Upendra of acting like a ‘dictator’. Denying the allegations, Upendra said that he had differences with the party officebearers as they went against the ideals of the party . According to sources, the differences were over Upendra’s decision to select candidates on his own. He is expected to announce a decision over his future in KPJP by Tuesday evening. With the saffron party sweeping the polls in three northeastern states, Siddaramaiah has set the tone for the Congress leadership to stitch secular parties to check Prime Minister Narendra’s Modi’s march in the 2019 parliamentary polls. Siddaramaiah who has been attacking Modi at public functions and Congress rallies, said that there is need for secular forces to come together to stop Modi. Though he rules out any talks with JD(S) for the Rajya Sabha or assembly polls, he feels that a division in secular votes will only help the BJP .
