He also informed that advertisements to fill 25,000 vacancies in government departments have already been issued, adding the recruitment process would be transparent. In an exclusive interview, Sinha described the `28,400 crore outlay for the new policy as a massive initiative to usher industrial revolution in J&K. Exuding confidence while sharing his thoughts at Raj Bhawan that overlooks the famous Dal Lake, Sinha said: “It is the largest incentive and historical industrial package to date. It will give a major boost to J&K’s economy .” Asked about the response of investors, he said, “We are get- ting good response. In fact, every day we get calls from 4-5 in, vestors exploring possibilities to set up units in J&K.” After the hollowing out of Article 370 and 35A by the Centre on August 5, 2019, the J&K government had planned to hold its first Global Investors Summit in October that year but it could not be held due to various reasons. However, the State government was forced to take up Tika Utsav with the available vaccine doses as no new stocks were received from the Centre. Out of 13 districts in the State, Anantapur postponed the launch of Tika Utsav due to lack of vaccine doses.
