Soren had skipped seven summonses before he agreed to be questioned. According to sources, eight ED officials came in with files and a list of 300 questions for the interrogation. Questions were mostly related to the land scam and sources of his income, they said. Later in the evening, additional files were brought in. The ED is investigating the Ranchi land scam on the basis of documents recovered from key accused Bhanu Pratap Prasad’s house. Several important documents relating to the scam were found in the raid from the house of Sub-Inspector Prasad of Badagain zone. Certain documents show the CM allegedly grabbing a parcel of tribal land in Ranchi. Amid apprehension that Soren could be arrested, many MLAs of the ruling alliance gathered at the chief minister’s house since morning to show their support. They were shouting slogans against the ED and BSE to track vehicles carrying question papers through GPS E x p r e s s N e w s Se r v i c e @ Cuttack In a bid to make foolproof arrangements for the ensuing board exams, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) is set to use global positioning system (GPS) to track vehicles carrying squads and confidential material including question papers for the high school certificate (HSC) examinations, scheduled to be conducted from February 20 to March 4. “The GPS trackers will keep a tab on vehicles carrying confidential material including question papers and also on movement of squads deputed to different examination centres. Though adoption of the system is an expensive affair, it will ensure more transparency and help in checking question paper leak,” said BSE president Srikant Tarai. An outsourcing agency will be assigned to fit GPS devices on the vehicles through tender. A special software will be used by the BSE tracking the vehicles.
