He later procured the required apparatus and chemicals from different shops and set up a lab on the second floor of the school. For the past seven months, he had allegedly been producing alprazolam and supplying it to Raju Goud, Kumar Goud, Krishna Goud, Narender Goud, Praveen Kumar, Moka Bharath and others from Vikarabad and Mahbubnagar districts. Officials said the location of the school is significant as Karregutta Hills was “once considered the secure stronghold of Naxals”. Karregutta was freed from the control of Naxals through a special operation early this year. The operation lasted for 21 days and led to the killing of 31 Naxals.
