Of the 2,900 kg of IED-making materials recovered, 360 kg were found in Haryana. One of the three doctors arrested worked in the state, while another was employed in Haryana. It all began on 19 October, when JeM posters threatening the police and security forces were found in Bunpora Nowgam near Srinagar. An investigation was launched to track down the person responsible. With the help of CCTV footage, the police nabbed a suspect, Dr Adil Ahmed Rather, who worked at a hospital in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
